Frequently Asked Questions:

Is Wild Boomer Women only in Phoenix?  The group started in Phoenix in 2008 and that is where we have our main chapter.  Right now it is the only chapter that has The Bucket List Club.  We also have a free meetup group in Sedona,

What's the difference between the Bucket List Club and the Meetup Group?  The Bucket List Club is an exclusive members only club with annual dues.  We offer three signature events each month.  Currently the Bucket List Club is only located in Greater Phoenix.  The events are posted on our website. The meetup groups are where we have our local event calendars.  Meetup.com runs these calendars.  They do not require membership dues.  We have meetup groups in Phoenix, Sedona, Tucson and Prescott.

Do I have to be a paid member of the Bucket List club to attend events?  You can attend up to two events as a non-member.  This is an exclusive social club for baby boomers who want to make girlfriends and have fun.  Members realize that there is a lot of work that goes into planning and organizing events and our chapter leaders work hard to make that happen.

What do I get for my membership investment? There are several benefits to being a member of the Bucket List club.  You can come to as many events and activities as you would like.  It's all planned for you.  All you have to do is show up.  If you want to do something that isn't already planned, you can post it on our meetup calendar and find others to go with you.  You can chat live with other members on our website.  It's another way to make new girlfriends.  If you have a business, you can include your logo and link to your website on our Favorites page.  You also get discounts on events, trips and adventures, plus new benefits are being added frequently

How do I find out more about the club?  You can click on the membership page on our website for more information.

I don’t feel comfortable going to an event where I don’t know anyone.  How is WBW different?   Everyone introduces themselves and we really get to know each other.  Lots of laughter follows, which puts everyone at ease and before you know it, you have a room full of new girlfriends.  At every event, we start with our own special way getting to know you.

How do I find out about events as soon as they are posted?  Our Bucket List calendar is listed on our website.  You can subscribe to our RSS feed by going to the calendar.  We also send out an email whenever a new event is posted.  You can also join our meetup group and every time a new event is added, you will be notified.

Can I suggest events or activities?  We encourage your suggestions.  All you need to do is contract the organizer of your group listed on our chapter page.

Is there another way I can get more involved in my chapter?  We encourage you to volunteer to help.  It’s the best way to get to know more people in your chapter.  We have several volunteer opportunities.  Go to our volunteer tab to fill out our volunteer form.

Am I able to promote my business to other WBW?  While Wild Boomer Women is a social club, women love to do business with other women they know.  Your business can be mentioned as part of your introduction at a gathering, or if you are a member of the Bucket List club you can add your logo and a link to your website on our Favorite Members page.  You can also post up to two events a month on our calendar that would showcase your business.  However, outwardly promoting your business to other WBW members or at events is a no-no.

Is this group just for single women?  Absolutely not!  While we do post some events just for singles, we have many married women in the group.  They come because their husbands travel, don’t like to go out or just because all women, whether they are married or single, need girlfriends.

How WILD do you have to be?  Don’t let the word “wild” intimidate you.  We all have a wild streak in us, whether it has been let out or not.  Were you a wild child of the 60’s or 70’s?  Do you want to be a wild woman now?  We can help you get there.

What kind of events do you typically have?  Every month Bucket List Club members have at least three signature events to choose from; a bucket list adventure day, a fun class, a happy hour with a fun speaker and sometimes a FUNcheon.  Anything you can image, we have had it or are open to having it.  To view our past events, go to our calendar page and click on past events.

How often do you hold events?  We have three signature events for Bucket List Club members.  Our meetup groups have several local events.  Some chapters have monthly dinner clubs or weekly coffee gatherings which can allow you to plan in advance.
