About Our Events Have you ever stayed at home because you didn’t want to go somewhere new all by yourself where you didn’t know anyone? We know how difficult that can be. That’s why at Wild Boomer Women, we want to make it as comfortable as possible for you. Each event begins by getting to know one another. We go around the room and each person gets to say three things they want us to know about them. Here’s an example of what happens when the introductions start: "You're from Michigan? Me too."
"Oh, I just went through a divorce last year - call me, we'll talk." "You've got to put your Dad in a nursing home? I'm going through the same thing." "Your last child just left home? Welcome to the empty nest club."

The recent movie of the same name (The Bucket List) with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman was a fabulous example of how it is done.
Want to learn how to ride a motorcycle? Shoot a gun? Go hot air ballooning? Take cooking classes, go wine tasting, dancing, boating, travel to exotic places or maybe the wine country. Whatever is on your bucket list, we can do. What’s With All The Tiaras? You know you deserve to be treated like a queen so why shouldn't everyone else know? Those of us who proudly wear the tiara have done something to earn it. Sometimes it's just doing something really bold, like joining Wild Boomer Women and attending an event two days after you've just arrived in town, as one of our members did. Sometimes it's based on telling us about something wild you've done in your past. Often we ask fun questions during our getting to know session. The group decides which is the best answer and really entitles someone to be an official tiara wearing Wild Boomer Woman. We love wearing them when we go out together. You would be amazed at all the attention we get. When you visit our upcoming events/calendar page, you will be taken to our calendar hosting site, meetup.com, which is where our calendar currently resides. If you are not a member of meetup.com, when you click on an event, you will be asked for your user name and password. That means you need to set up a (free) account at meetup.com in order to view our calendar or make reservations for an event. Simply follow the instructions to set up a new account and you will be able to view our calendar and receive an email every time we schedule a new event.
